Family Fun in Chamonix – Summer Edition
The stunning Chamonix valley comes alive during the summer. There is a huge selection of children friendly activities on your doorstep, so why not head on up the mountain and embrace the adventure? It is a great year round destination, especially for a family get-away.
Here are few of our recommendations for things to try whilst you are there :
Via Ferrata
The via ferrata is a great way to introduce your kids to climbing and altitude sports. With steel cables, ladders or rungs fixed to the rock face, climbers can attach themselves using a harness and make their way across the path. Via des Evettes off the top of la Flégère lift is the nearest route in the Chamonix valley, but there are many other options under an hour away by car. We would recommend seeking advice from a guiding company or the tourism office if you are taking your children and you are not an experienced climber.
